Hampden-Sydney College near Farmville, Virginia is hosting a Merit Badge College Day on Saturday, June 6, 2026 open to all Scouts BSA Troops in the Heart of Virginia Council. Thanks to the support and involvement of the college administration, faculty, staff and community, we are able to offer a great day and merit badge opportunities taught by qualified instructors. While you are here, we hope you will explore our 1330 acre historic campus.
The cost of the event is $30.00 per Scout and Adult Leader. This fee includes Saturday's lunch (there will be two meal shifts) in the Hampden-Sydney dining hall in Pannill Commons, coffee time for Adult Leaders in the Tiger Inn, HSC swag, and the opportunity for Scouts to attend up to two merit badge sessions. Online payment is required at the time of registration.

Dress Code: Official RED Troop 800 Class B shirt and Scout pants or shorts -- NO EXCEPTIONS
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations with a full refund will be accepted up until May 12th. No refunds will be given after May 12th.

I understand that participation in these activities is entirely voluntary and requires participants to abide by applicable rules and standards of conduct. I release Scouting America, the Heart of Virginia Council, Bethel Baptist Church, the activity coordinators, and all employees, volunteers, related parties, or other organizations associated with the activity from any and all claims or liability arising out of this participation.
I approve the sharing of the information on this electronic registration with BSA volunteers and professionals who need to know of medical situations that might require special consideration for the safe conducting of Scouting activities.
In case of an emergency involving me or my child, I understand that every effort will be made to contact the individual listed as the emergency contact person. In the event that this person cannot be reached, permission is hereby given to the medical provider selected by the adult leader in charge to secure proper treatment, including hospitalization, anesthesia, surgery, or injections of medication for me or my child. Medical providers are authorized to disclose to the adult in charge examination findings, test results, and treatment provided for purposes of medical evaluation of the participant, follow-up and communication with the participant's parents or guardian, and/or determination of the participant's ability to continue in the program activities.
