For the fourth consecutive year, Rodney Parsons (8), The Sharon Parsons Foundation & Camp Parsons (14) and the Leaders, Scouts and Families of Scouting America Troop 800 (18) collected and made a combined donation of 40 frozen turkeys to the Cumberland Food Bank, providing a holiday meal for at least 40 families in need.
Troop 800 Eagle Scout Nick Cramer was recently featured in Virginia Commonwealth University's NEXT magazine for the research he has been doing on the treatment of tick-related illnesses.
For the second year in a row, the scouts and families of Scouts BSA Troop 800 collected and donated turkeys to the Cumberland Food Bank. This year, these donations will help provide a holiday meal for at least 52 families.

Crew members of the AirCare 5 medical helicopter at Shenandoah Valley Regional Airport opened their hangar to the public in honor of the service's 10th anniversary in the Valley.

On Saturday, Sept. 22, Tommy Justis’s Powhatan property was crawling with 10-year-old boys.
More than 120 boys spent their morning scrambling up a climbing tower, zipping down a zip line, sampling cake made in a Dutch oven, crafting gourds into birdhouses and shooting BB guns.
