Scouts BSA Troop 800 is happy to offer Mulch Spreading as a service, to be completed by the boys of the Troop and their families.
For $1.75/bag, they will come to your home and spread the mulch you have purchased in your flower beds, around trees, in playgrounds or wherever else you want it to go. In return, this money goes directly into a special account specifically for the boys doing the work, which they are allowed to use for anything Scouting related, including paying for Summer Camp, High Adventure trips, etc., so your support of this endeavor is GREATLY appreciated by everyone involved. These boys are trying to EARN their way, which is a very valuable lesson in today's world.
Please make out your payment to BSA Troop 800.
Please note, the mulch spreading service DOES NOT include cleaning any part of your property of debris prior to spreading the mulch.
On average, we are delivering around 30,000 bags of mulch in an 8 hour period and we simply do not have the time or energy that weekend to do any spreading.
If you would like the boys of Scouts BSA Troop 800 to spread your mulch, please click on the link below, fill out the form and you will be contacted to schedule a time.
Kroger's Community Rewards Program will donate a percentage of your in-store purchases to the charitable organization of your choice -- hopefully BSA Troop 800. All you have to do to make this happen is link your Kroger Plus Shopper's Card to the Troop's account. This costs you nothing. Your spending is 100% confidential and this program DOES NOT affect your earnings toward fuel program discounts.

WEYERS CAVE - The sight of a medevac helicopter is usually a bad sign, but on Saturday visitors were encouraged to get a closer look. Crew members of the AirCare 5 medical helicopter at Shenandoah Valley Regional Airport opened their hangar to the public in honor of the service's 10th anniversary in the Valley.
Visitors were shown around the Weyers Cave facility and inside the helicopter to learn about the its role in the region. For Boy Scout Troop 800 of Midlothian, it was a chance to get outside and on the road while "exposing them to things they wouldn't normally do," said assistant Scoutmaster Howard Fishburne.
"I do love this stuff," said troop member Caden Caruso, 11, whose father pilots a Diamond Aircraft personal plane. As he ducked underneath the back of the helicopter, Caruso said he liked learning about the different features of aircraft, big and small.
May 15-17, 2015 -- Fishburne Family Farm - Mt. Sidney, VA
For our May 2015 campout, we traveled West again, but this time to Mt. Sidney, VA, to the farm of one of our Asst. Scoutmasters - Howard Fishburne. Our original plan was to camp at his mountain farm, but due to heavy rainfall which made the road impassable, we had to fall back to Plan B.
We arrived at the Fishburne Family Farm Friday evening just in time to enjoy a really nice sunset.
April 19, 2015 -- WCVE Studios - Midlothian, VA
As one of more than 50 local groups, BSA Troop 800 and Cub Scout Pack 800 from Bethel Baptist Church in Midlothian, VA, were invited to give the community an in-person look at what Scouting has to offer.
April 17-19, 2015 -- Lake Sherando Recreation Area -- Lyndhurst, VA
For our April 2015 monthly camping trip, we traveled West to the Lake Sherando Recreation Area in Lyndhurst, VA, near Waynesboro.
